My name is Luke Joy, I am a Touring Golf Professional from Dorset, England.

I’am attached at Remedy Oak Golf Club and Yas Links, Abu Dhabi while also being an international ambassdor at Centurion Club, In England

In 2023 I will be competing on the Asian Development, MENA, and Clutch Golf Tours. I will also be attempting to Qualify for the British Open and gain my full card on the European and Asian Tour respectively.

Background….

I started playing golf at Canford Magna Golf Club and during my amateur days I progressed quickly through the ranks and was selected to represent the Dorset Men’s first team, South West Men’s Team and England Juniors.

I attended University and studied Business Management at Drake University on a Golf Scholarship. Of the 5 years in America, I spent 4 years studying and 1 year working for Wells Fargo Bank, whilst playing full time amateur golf and qualifying for the US Amateur.

I turned professional in 2012 off a handicap of +3, and so far I have won 9 Professional tournaments.

The highlights of my career so far are my 9 professional victories, two coming on the MENA Tour in the UAE as it lead to my first European Tour start, competing in the 2015 Dubai Desert Classic and then again 2017 and 2018.

I spend my winters in Abu Dhabi training and call it home for most of the year, working on my game at the amazing Yas Links facility. Its the perfect place to be for the winter, to keep my game sharp and prepare for the 2022 season.

After a COVID-19 impacted 2021 season I have been working hard on my game to make sure I’m better and stronger than ever before. The game is feeling good and I have a great team around me that is helping me get better every day. Very much looking forward to the season to kick off and get back into the winners circle once again.

During Covid lockdown ,I used my time away from tournament golf to get qualified in other areas of the game and became Mind-factor certified and also a qualified Mindfulness practitioner. I’am currently doing some part time coaching Online for Performance, Practice and Mindset so please feel free to contact me if you would further like to explore this part of your game.
